 Simply the best GF spaghetti out there July 28, 2010

This is the best gluten-free spaghetti I've found. Previously we had to make two pots of pasta -- one for the 1/2 of the house that is gluten-intolerant and another for the "normal" folks. Everyone loves this pasta, so now we make ONE pot and everyone's happy.

I've been gf for about 6 years and Schar is by far the best gf products I've ever had. The only negative thing about this pasta is the price. For our family of 7 we need two packages of spaghetti to feed all of us.
A word of advice about cooking this - I've had trouble with it sticking together in large clumps so I now break them in half first and then fan them into the pot.
If you were a pasta lover before going gf, you will find this worth the price!!

My 14 yr old son has celiac and finding products a kid likes is difficult. He likes all the schar products. I have also found using a corn based spaghetti pasta does better than an all brown rice spagetti. He says it is "most real". I rinse it after cooking (all gf pastas do better for somereason if you rinse them after cooking/straining). With all gf pasta there is a fine line between "al dente-not cooked-and overcooking" , but I found schar has more time to forgive!

My Mom was just diagnosed and had to give up gluten. I went on line because she loves pasta so much- to find something else she could use. I read the reviews and decided to try this product. I bought it and sent it to her. I called her to be on the watch for it in the mail. When she got it, she tried it right away and told me how much she really liked it! She recomends this product to anyone who needs to be on a gluten free diet!

The "pasta" had a decent texture when eaten quickly, but lost texture quickly if the dish sat or was reheated. Overall good flavoe and I would buy it again.
